Inspiring High-Performing Classrooms

An inservice session is a special opportunity to influence the attitudes and actions of your entire staff. The Flippen Group strives to provide inservice presentations that encourage faculty and staff to reflect upon and reinvent relationships with students, administrators, and one another.

Our speakers are former teachers and administrators. They understand the stresses and challenges of today’s classrooms and speak with insight, experience, and a healthy dose of professional wit and humor. Our inservice presentations go beyond motivation; they reinforce key skills that strengthen classroom relationships, enhance teaching styles, and inspire increased student effort.

Schools consistently describe our inservice workshops as valuable, memorable and rejuvenating experiences for teachers. To schedule a session at your school, call 800.316.4311.

Inservices Offered

We offer a series of three inservices, with each piece to be implemented sequentially. The first step is Building Champions, the second is Behave In / Behave Out, and the third is Zero to One. The main theme of each of these inservices is outlined below:

Building Champions - Teachers choose their profession because they are motivated to educate today’s students and build them into tomorrow’s leaders. In our Building Champions inservice, through the Engage and X-plore pieces of our EXCEL Teaching Model™, your staff will learn how to build an environment of trust and respect with your students in order to maximize learning in the classroom. Participants will also develop proven skills and techniques that reduce student anxiety, enabling them to discover their students’ needs and then teach to those needs. As a result of the workshop, participants will be able to create a high-performing classroom. Building Champions is powerful and engaging, and will ensure improvement on your campus.

Behave In/Behave Out - This inservice follows Building Champions and focuses on developing further methods for building safe and secure classroom environments. The teacher is provided with powerful questioning techniques for dealing with behavioral and disrespect issues, allowing teachers to properly enforce rules and expectations without severing relationships. This is an incredibly effectiveworkshop for transforming any classroom.

“I can only imagine my entire faculty and staff using the EXCEL Teach- ing Model™. Wouldn’t that be a marvelous school? After Building Champions, I had teachers tell me how much they appreciated it and how it rejuven- ated their love and interest for kids.”

Larry Jeffers
